Dear All,

REF: At-Bristol Science centre www.at-bristol.org.uk

I am writing from your local science centre, At-Bristol, situated on the harbourside. At-Bristol is currently seeking support in the form of an Educators' Advisory Panel, to provide guidance on issues relating to our science centre, education programme and general visitor marketing. With the science centre being so popular with home educators, I am very keen that you are represented on this panel, alongside teachers, students and general visitors.

Educator advisory groups have been something we’ve been very keen to establish for some time now, with a small group meeting 2/3 times per year. Key topics where we require your support would be our marketing to schools and groups, breadth and styles of content (delivered through exhibits workshops, shows…etc), the accessibility of all our events and to review the process for schools and groups attending At-Bristol (bookings, arrivals…). At this stage, the timing and logistics of these meetings is not set. I am pleased to offer free parking and refreshments for all participants and hope to explore further benefits in the future.

If you are interested in finding out more information about the new educator advisory panel and receive an invitation to the first meeting (timings tbc), please do get in touch by telephone or email. I would be delighted to welcome you on board.

Whilst writing, may I encourage you to visit our website for details on our downloadable trails, group workshops, science shows and theme days: www.at-bristol.org.uk/education. To be kept up-to-date on up-coming events for you or your group, you can register for our termly e-newsletter on the website.

Many thanks in advance,

Chris O’Callaghan
